How do I know where my application is being processed?

My receipt number starts with MSC, which is Missouri Service Center but I live in New Orleans. What processing date do I look at? The one for my local office or the one for the service center that received my application?

MSC, the 'missoury processing center' is a facility processing certain benefits, mostly for family based immigrants (I think they also go by 'national benefits center). They also do many of the e-filed EADs. Different from the other centers, they don't have a 'region' but get applications from all over the ocuntry. Many of the applications that you are required to file with the local office, actually go to MSC for processing (or at least part of the processing).

Curiously, the mailing address for this facility was for the longest time in Chicago, IL.

Thanks... they actually did process my EAD but it got lost in the mail Our local USCIS office was distroyed by Katrina and is indefinitely closed... and so was our mailing distribution center, so now I am not getting my mail like I should and some stuff has been return to the senders but not my EAD, so now they want me to pay again!!!! My husband said we've survived this long without me working, we will survive whatever time it takes for my AOS. Oh well, now we don't know how long our AOS will take since it is suppose to go to the memphis office but we don't know if they will process ours based on their timelines or not!
