How do i know if i am stuck in name check?

I did my first FP code1 in August 2004. Online msg at that time say processing on my application started. I did my FP2 code2, in July 2005. Online msg says "On August xx, 2004, the fingerprints for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were collected and are pending review".
Is this is a normal msg?? How do i know if i am stuck in FBI name check??

Immigration gurus please advice.

You have to call USCIS and make an enquiry, ofcourse they will allow one only if your application is pending 30 beyond the published processing dates on the USCIS.gov website for your service center.
