How do i keep my pending 485 alive?

I have a pending 485(stuck in Name check) and EAD but I am still working on 7th year H1.
If i go out of country and come back on H1 (I havent used my EAD at all so far) so I am on H1 status, will it abondon my 485?
what should i do to keep my 485 alive?
using Advance Parole is NOT an option for me at the moment coz i recently applied for it.

i-485 is for future active employment at the time of approval.
u being on H1 has no bearing on ur i-485 processing.
use ur H1 for work n travel until i-485 is approved. This keeps ur non-immigration history clean and less confusing.

do ur FPs on time, and keep checking on the name check status for pass-time, and pray for fast approval of i-485. That is all to it.

I read somewhere that leaving the US and entering on H1 will abandon pending 485 and thats why I was concerned.
Is that not right?

No.
Thousands of H1B workers travel every year on H1B visas while their i-485 is in process.

If u ever choose to switch employers, do a H1B transfer and file AC21 after the H1B is approved. Dont waste ur money on maintaining EAD and AP too.
