How do I get more details on my status

Hello All:
I filed my N400 in March 2008. I want to know if I can find more information on my case beyond the standard message I see on the USCIS web site.
I was wondering if I can find information like is my name check cleared etc.
I see many people here have that detailed information. How can I find that.
I will appreciate any responses.

To find the name check status, you have to either:
(A) Call 1-800-385-5283 and speak to IO or
(B) Make a INFOPASS appointment at your local DO.
