FRiends,

I read somewhere in this forum that there is a way to get the receipt number from the enchased check. On the check copy I have

ESC*(I cannot read the charater after ESC, it can be f or t or 4)
The above is followed by whole series of numbers.

Did any one you attempt to get case number from the encashed check?

with regards

JP

Yes

The case number (for VSC) typically is ESC*00XXXXXXX. Obviously you can wait few days and look at the receipt notice :)

In the copy of my check, the number present there was a WSC$ followed by numbers, and that definitely wasnt the case number. My case number was no where on the check.

JoeF, you still haven't answered the questions about a) if you are trained in law; b) if you are obligated to tell the truth under the US constitution; c) if you have expressly waived any of liabilities from your advices; d) if you think yourself as trustworthy. Questions that need to be addressed before you are taken seriously in this board.

To anyone who is conversing with JoeF, take his advices at your own peril. The guy has been provene to give out mis leading information, conflicting information and downright lies about issues at discussion and other members.

I re-examined my cashed check for handwritten numbers, and yes, there was a few numbers which were hand written on the front of the check. And as Joef mentions it didnt have the WSC* and leading zeroes. The handwriting is kind of messy, so much so that I mistook them for some cryptic code. For example, my case number is WSC*001460050 (not really my number), and in the check, handwritten was 1460050. The starting 1 and 4 appeared like an IX (The 4 was really skewed to look like an X), hence I didnt think it was anything to do with my case number.
