how do I check EAD status

Could anyone tell me how to check status of my EAD applcation? I called INS (949-831-8427) tonight and give my WAC number, but it\'s the receipt number for my I485, thus the machine told me the case is still pending. Is there a different receipt number for EAD application? (I filled 485 and EAD together so I assume they have same receipt number).
