How do attorneys get case number for I-140?

Hello,

My I-140 got filed today. I would like to know, how do attorney receive the case number from USCIS? I mean, do they get online, ifthey filed I-140 online? or do they receive receipt thro' mail?

Please let me know..
 
The case number is printed on the filing receipt they get in the mail. However, you should also be able to see receipt numbers for all your applications printed on the back of corresponding fee checks, when they clear your bank. Then you can set up your online portfolio at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp where you can view LUDs, sign up for e-mail notifications, etc.
