How can we help each other? Bring IP.org to life

Many of you might be asking, is the 485 litigation over? why is it so quiet at litigation forum? We'll all see approvement soon?

The answer is no, no, no. The litigation will move on. Rajiv is actively working with plaintiffs - there have at least been 30 or 40 people signed up. Some of us will definitely continue to suffer. My answer is backed by facts, not by intuition, or guts feelings:

1) The backlog is till in the range of MILLIONS. According to CIS official data, the 485 backlog by the end of April is 1,210,838. We may have thought recently many have seen approved, and CIS must have moved forward in lightening speed. While, the reduction in back log is 17,815 in April, less than 2%. Check out the thread linked below for details. Thanks for some of us who compiled these valuable data:

2) Maybe the CIS will move faster and faster to reduce the backlog. That's true. But here is how they will do it according to Murthy:
No one knows for sure, as we have written in our MurthyBulletin article, since it is too early to tell. We hope that it does not mean putting existing cases on the slow track, but that seems to be the plan. We had a meeting on Friday, May 7th, 2004 with a senior USCIS official in Washington, D.C. where I was speaking on labor certifications with the Chief of the U.S. Department of Labor for the U.S. The USCIS official mentioned that the game plan is to catch up and bring along all newly filed cases so that they are processed within the 180-day timeframe and then slowly go back to playing catch-up with the previously filed cases. That is their backlog reduction plan.

So it is not the time to relax, or wishfully thinking that you are the lucky one. Maybe you are the lucky one, or maybe not. We need an organization like immigrationportal.org to unite us to protect our rights and benefits. Volunteers are coming together to actively pursuing this goal. IP.org have successfully collect $16,000, and the day that we will see some action is very close!

So if any of you, including those who have been approved, about to be approved, never heard anything since day one, thinks that we can do this together, help each other for now and for future, please donate. Any amount. $25, $50... As a father and husband, I understand every family has its own financial need. But this may be the time that we put this in front of other needs. If everyone may sacrifice just a little, such as one month less cable tv, put a delay on that fancy e-toy, or eat a couple of time less dining in a fancy resturant, we can bring our organization into life and fight for us.

Please make you donation, give your comment, contribute your intelligence. The organization belongs to the community. Please do whatever is good for yourself and this community!
