How can I send additional documents to USCIS?

Dear all,

I am a F-1 visa holder and married a USC. Two weeks ago, we filed our I-131/I-485/I-765. Today we received all the NOAs for three.

Also my application for I-130 was filed in April and approved 2 days ago.

I just realized that I need to submit a copy of my birth certificate in my I-485 package, which I didn't include but assumed that my passport photocopy would be good evidence.

My question:
1. Now I have a notarial certificate of my birth certificate, is this sufficient or acceptable document as birth certificate?
2. is it OK for me to send this to USCIS by referring the case no. so that they can add such document to my application package?
3. If answer to 2 is No, then is that true that I can only wait for RFE?

Just a copy of your BC along with your I-797 NOA of 485, and may be nice letter saying you are sorry for the oversight. Send all to the address listed at the bottom of your 485 NOA.

Thank you, VisaNutz and guinness301. It seems that you are pointing different directions. I am not sure which one to follow now...

VisaNutz, do you think the address on the NOA is allowed to take any documents or the chicago office will forward such documents to the address on the NOA?

Thank you again,

-Michelle

If you don't send now, you will get RFE later - which is ok also.

The address on the NOA. Or, if you are sending BC in response to an RFE, then whatever address is on the RFE.

VisaNutz:

Thank you. I sent this out this morning as you instructed. Thanks a lot for your help.

I just hope they won't reject my document and have me to respond to RFE later.

Best,

-fei

Well, it's worth a shot.. in the worst case, you are out just postage - but look at the bright side - an IO will to look into your case now that you sent something.
