How can I open a bank account in Canada from the US?

Dear all,

I have AOS pending and received my PR Visa. I am planning to land soon, How can I open a bank account in Canada while I am still in the US? Do you recommend certain banks?

Hi...Since 9-11 things have changed with banking in the USA and Canada...I would recomend that you telephone a bank in Canada and ask them if you can do it.

There are branches of Canadian Banks in the USA too....one is the IBC Bank.

You must show ID when you open a US or Canadian Account.
