How can Au pair file taxes?

I am a US Citizen as of 11/28/07 and my wife was an Au pair for 2 years. How can we file taxes jointly? Should we combine her income when filing 07 taxes next year?
She arrived in US 9/05 and never filed taxes. You all's help greatly appreciated.
