A friend of mine had a k1 petition filed for him. Here is the situation: he has decided that he no longer wants to be a part of this relationship with the person who made the petition. He has attempted to talk to her, but she wont listen, he actually told her before she mailed the petition that he wanted out. She mailed it anyway. This petition is in the early stages, the NOA1 was just received early May. How can he, being the beneficiary, cancel this petition. He received a letter in the mail yesterday from Nebraska saying that a petition had been filed. He wants this stopped now before it goes any further. What can he do?
