I have nothing from BCIS until today. But my wife, who is my dependent on my file, received second fingerprint notice on earlier December 2003 and did it last week. So, any comment? Thanks.
 
Did you change your address after filing your 485

I see many people who changed their address after 485, might have problem receving FP notice to their new address
 
You should talk to your lawyer about the FP Notice, since in my case, I receive the FP notice my wife didn't, I spoke to my lawyer and found out that she had the Notice for my wife.

I had a similar case. Our lawyer received our fingerprinting notices - we did not. That was after I called up BCIS with my Change of Address information. After we got our re-fingerprinting done, we received my wife's ( dependent's) finger-printing notice. It had been re-directed through BCIS. When I called and talked to the Customer Service folks, they transferred me to an Immigration Officer. A couple of weeks later, I received my re-directed fingerprinting notice. So, it might be a good idea to call the NCSC and ask them what's going on.

I have a couple of questions.

Wouldn't either the online status or phone inquiry indicate that an second FP has been sent?
Has anybody received FP2 when both online or phone message still says FP1 recieved [based on date]?

I have done my FP2 over two months ago, but the status has not yet changed. Has happened to quite a few other friends as well.
Don't know if BCIS is updating the status at all.

I meant will online status be updated when FP notice is sent. I am concerned what if both my lawyer and myself don't receive the notice, how will i know?
 
Good question, OMGV. I don't know the answer, unfortunately. My status never changed, in spite of receiving the FP2 notice. Others might have a different experience. The best advice I can give, is to talk to NCSC and find out.
