- 30 min drive from Sugarland.
- 2 minutes to park.
- 36 seconds to breach security.
- Followed blue line, past all the poor people
waiting for other matters (27 seconds).
- 62 seconds standing around looking lost
- 4 seconds, nice lady explains I have to put passport and stuff in tray
- Sit down and watched Clinton News Network (2mins, 34 secs)
- Realize I haven't signed / put A# on photos (1 second)
- Borrow pen from portly gentleman to scrawl info (45 seconds)
- Watched more illiberal drivel on CNN (61 seconds)
- Another nice lady calls my name (1 second)
- Perambulate to office (4 seconds)
- Sign some form thingy, both sides, parents' names requested, fingerprinted (3 mins)
- Passport returned, told card will take six to nine months :-( (12 seconds)
- Hand shaken (1.2 seconds)
1432hrs Chicken has left the building
1636hrs Chicken starts referring to himself in the third person
1637hrs Chicken submits post and goes to restroom to relief has tiny poultry bladder
1639hrs Chicken washes hands then gets given Hurricane Lilly "What to do" sheet
1640hrs Chicken back in bathroom fearing that something bad is going to happen
now he has been approved.
1647hrs Chicken back to see whether anyone read this.

The other day I posted a rant about Arab Muslims being
disorganized and not being able to fight. It was a sleight against
extremists and was written somewhat tongue in cheek. I hope
I didn't offend you, and if I did, well, there was no malice intended.
But a little give and take is helpful. For example, I used to work
with M Khalid, from Bhopal, who frequently would tell me
I was "kuffar" and that I was "going to hell". Anyway, hopefully
you'll forgive me my rant.

Chicken, what's up buddy... "you don't post around here no more." If you were a little stressed about your earlier Arab Muslim post NO WORRY! People out here don't pick friends based on what religion/country you are from... and don't change their feelings towards you at the drop of a hat.

Whoa, spooky!

Madras Pavillion is now Chennai Pavillion. :D

For veggie food, I dig that place. Also like Ashoka,
Gourmet India, Bombay Palace and a couple of
Pakistani halal places.

BTW I see now why there are so many Indian
vegetarians. First time I ordered goat biryani,
I was expecting some meat in there. Damn near
cracked a molar. Next time, I just ask for smashed
bones in rice, please!

I cant believe they changed the name. The food was good. I ate like a pig!

Isnt Sugarland the place with good schools? Houston is a crazy town. Sam Houston and associated complexities were too much for a desi! I wanted to go to South Padre… didn’t have time. Maybe someday with a bimbo! But one thing is for sure… I have never seen a more authentic South Indian temple anywhere in the US than Meenakshi in Houston. It was incredible!

Yeah I know about the skimpy biryanis! The chicken ones come with rice between chicken… but the goat ones are always with bones (and rice floating on oil!). I guess its because of the cost.

Have you ever been to a "Balti house" in the UK?
It's a restaurant where they cook and server you the food
in this big bowl? It's always got an inch thick layer of oil
and fat on top.

So Patience, there tons of ABCDs here. is that not recommended?

Well I have been out with ABCDs but they are worse than whites. Most don’t know what they are looking for. They seem to prefer other ABCDs. The main problem is that most of them have had "luxurious" lives and expect a poor desi guy to be driving a NSX!:(
I am keeping options open but I prefer a FOB.
