my mom's interview next month back home. i used my husband's income(household member) to meet the 125 poverty guidelines. he lost his job last month. he is receiving unemployment benefits? i know we have to update the I 864 and I 864 A on the interview, does this help? or do we need joint sponsor? or i can use his unemployment as income? please help!

You need to go to the interview with another I 864,you just need to look for a new sponsor and do not present new I 864 if the interview didn't asked you, but you need to be super ready

Financial support that will continue for the beneficiary is the most important criteria to get the approval. So as much as possible you need to be prepared. A promise for continued support even after your mom gets her GC is what will decide the petition to be accepted.good luck!
