Hourly Consultant using EAD?

Hello Friends,

I would really appreciate if anyone can provide more insight into the following scenario.

I’m currently working on EAD and my PD for 485 is Sep 2002. Now, being on EAD, can I work as an hourly consultant or do I need to work as a full time employee only while being on EAD?

How UCIS know about your consulting

As long as you are getting pay check and you filled I9 form with that consulting company you are employed. Unless you tell the UCIS , I don't think they would know wether you are hourly employee or full time emplyee.

That is the form you fill when you join particular company as W2 employee. In case if you are working as independent contractor(1099) , convert that into corp-to-corp contract and can talk to some consulting company and run your payrole thru that company. So now you are fulltime employee of that company ;-)
