I have never really stayed in NWD (but am going for CP in NWD since the my case was sent there). Does any one have any suggestions about hotel stay and where to do the medicals for in NWD??
Will really appreciate any tips!

This post in one of the stickies at the beginning of the forum has some useful info on NWD.

Unfortunately, the interview experiences on there are a bit dated (seems like the majority of people on here are Mumbai/Chennai interviewees).

There's also some helpful info at immihelp.com -- which might be dated.

I have no idea about hotels in Delhi. I have relatives there, and have never stayed in a hotel in the capital!

As I said in a different thread -- it would be great to have your experiences once you've gone through this all. Good luck!

Depends on the time of the year when your interview is scheduled - If it is between May and Aug then, it would be better to stay close to the Embassy as the dry heat (>100 F) will make it uncomfortable to communte from one place to the other - if one is not used to it.

I had mentioned 3 options in the DIPLOMATIC AREA - without paying too much viz. Stay at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra or Hotel Diplomat on Sardar Patel Road, or try the State Guest Houses.

I am going to do my medical from Appollo, as I believe it is cheaper (compared to others) and all under one roof. There is list of approved doctors on the US Embassy web site.

Here is some good Hotel, you like to stay there.
* The Claridges
* Dan & Clover Home
* Hotel Alpine Tree
* Hotel Bellvue.
