Hoping to move to Canada

My boyfriend lives in British Columbia,Canada (I'm in Wisconsin), and I'm hoping to move there so we can be closer together. I am completely clueless on what steps I need to take in order to be able to move. I've looked around other websites, and I just got more confused. If anyone has gone through moving from the U.S. to Canada or knows all the steps, please let me know so I can get started looking at all the information. Any background info that might is I'm 19 years old (will be turning 20 in April), I'm currently taking online college classes that I hope to continue if I can move to Canada. My work experience is nothing professional, just cashier jobs. I don't know any French. If you need any other info, please let me know. Any help on this is appreciated. :)

If you bf had a valid premanent status in canada, the quickest way to get there is married him. (But, are you sure you want to do that when you are only 20?) Also, french is not that hot over BC. Don't worry.
I don't believe you will qualify as skill worker (but you can defintely try) see link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp
Or if you can invest some (like 300-500K CAD) as an investor?

Good luck!

My bf is a Canadian citizen, he was born and raised there. I read another thread where someone said the process of getting permanent residency took around 18 months, and I was hoping to be there in like 6 months. If I don't qualify for a skill worker, is there any other way I can get there?

I can't qualify as a skilled worker because the only jobs I've had for the past 5 years have been cashier jobs, and I didn't see anything like that on the list.
