Holding 2 jobs with EAD?

Guys:

485 Petition was filed over 6 months at NSC. We have EAD & AP cards. Not sure if I want to use AC21 to change employers just yet(seems taking a bit of risk to me). But can I do another part-time job at the same time? Maybe consulting on the side or something? How does that appear on taxes etc? How does the 2nd company pay me? Does that in any way risk my 485 petition/GC?

Thanks for answering the Q for me. So assuming its part-time, it might be consulting or 1099 for me due to nature of short-term projects. If that is the case, is USCIS concerned about me making more income on the side while working fulltime in another company?

Given today's failure of immigration bill, who knows I just might use AC21 at some point but currently I have no plans on doing so unless I find a good alwyer who assures me of mitogated risks after using AC21.
