Just now I talked with IIO, she told me that hold that was placed on my case due to compnay name change has been released
as of june 19, 2001. I did not file I-140 redo.

does that mean yours will get approved soon even without I140 amendment?

Did she tell you how long it will take to approve your case? Mine is also same type of case, my company has changed it\'s name, but federal ID is same.

could you also please mention whether your 140 and 485 have different
employer name ? if not, when did the name change occur, how long after
485?

MY I-485 RD is oct 1999 and Pd sept 1996( this is not typo).
It seems that they have started to adjudicate my case again, IIO asked me to wait 2-3 weeks to get final decision.
I am not from IGate. My I-140 and I-485 had same name however after filing I-1485 my company name was changed.
Tax Id remianed same. I got RFE for employment letter on march 20,2001 after replying to RFE my case was put on hold, only to be released on Jun 19, 2001 after release of AC21 memo.

Same here. Hold lifted. I just talked to IIO and was told that the hold was lifted on June 19th. Case is with officer and I can expect to hear within a month.

I-140 and I-485 have different company names. ND Oct 99.

Yes, that is correct. I-140 was filed under old company name back in April 99. Company got acquired in June 99. Then I-140 approval came thru and I-485 was filed in October 99 under new company.

thanks for the reply, I have the same situation, only difference is my 485 ND is 2/00,
called today was told that it\'s still on hold !
