On a lighter note..
I've been seeing quiet a few approvals from forum members who have been silent observers. The active members in this forum seem to wait endlessly for their approvals. I can think of a few names who were very active like sara, MA_Labor etc. and they had wait for a long time to get their GCs...

But if you checkout some of the silent dudes who applied in end of 2004/2005...they've got their GCs offlate...

I tried both silent and otherwise... If you are effed out of luck..nothing is gonna work.

akilhere! I was thinking the same thing. All these unknown names keep popping up with "hurray" or "card production ordered"!

There are definitely a lot more ppl who are in these forums than we realize.

Silent observers

There are so many applicants who do not even know this kind of forum which acts as a platform to share our grief and happiness.

They are getting approved!!.

Its all destiny guys.

Funny, I share the same thoughts too. Time to shut up and wait.

akil...I had the same feeling...Just did not wanted them to think that I am being an a$$ :) As we all know life sucks :D

yeah, I agree, spulla

You know what...some people are lucky with some things in life..so may be we are all lucky with something that others are not...

I believe, posting info on what we experience will help thousands of ppl browing this site. Due to which, I moved my status from silent observer to posting experiences... I guess ppl should start pouring in their experience, it will really make others comfy over their situation. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks

You guys are right. Silent participants should speak up. Most of us keep checking our online status frequently (I was logging on every 2-3 hours, just going crazy), but the LUD did not change for 3 weeks then, suddenly, everything is different. Keep hope guys (and gals) - it seems like the rate of approvals is increasing since 7/17th. I think they need to get the 60K visas approved before end of Jul.

Sorry, I second your theory and I think it's a myth...:)

Its all LUCK, FATE and DESTINY. Stupid system screwing up our lives, sleep, health, peace of mind...May be god wants us to suffer like these. If we escape this, something major would fall on us...____ _ _ _

I had conflicting info from IO. One said names check was done in 2004 (but i had FP in 2005). Another said, name check is till penidng... Another said, they are sending a FP notice for me this July.... Hearing them ...sucks...They created a SR# too for this.... Unable to plan life, with so much uncertainity.....

Agree with you...I'm waiting for this darn FP notice.....atleast I can be done with whatever is pending on my application and let them approve it when they do...but now even though i know that my FPs are expired, I cannot do a da*n thing about it!!! AArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!

Right Place to Post

I am also kind of a silent observer and my card was delivered yesterday
(07/19/07).

Thanks to all the present and PAST forum members.

Best wishes for all those who are playing the waiting game.

Here are the details.

EB-2 (NIW), India
Texas
PD. March 2005.
Card Production Ordered: 07/13/07 (Friday !!!)
Approval Notice Sent: 07/16/07
Card Mailed: 07/17/07
Card Received: 07/19/07.

As you can see from my post count, I have not been silent on this forum.

I also have not been silent with the USCIS, as I initiated a service request in May (which turned out to be useless) shortly after I became current. The response to the SR had a section where it said I may inquire in writing at a given address. So in June I wrote to them inquiring about my case, with just a few simple and factual questions like whether my name check has been cleared and whether my case has been assigned to an officer (no speculative questions like when it will be approved -- they hate that). I included a copy of my approved I140 and I485 receipt notice with the letter, and I also wrote that if my case has been approved, disregard this letter.

I don't know if that letter prompted them to dust off my case and proceed with it. Maybe they found it was simpler to approve the case than respond to the questions. But at this point who cares, I got the card in my hand yesterday.

Well, if they did their job properly, noone would have been pestering the IOs with questions.
