History / Civics Questions

Hello,

I understand that the interviewing office asks some history / civics questions. What happens if someone is not able to answer the questions correctly? Will the application be denied OR will the person get another chance soon?

Thanks

it is the easiest of all tests I have ever taken, probably 10% of the effort studying for example a DMV written test. So it is very hard to not correctly answer. That said, you are allowed 3 incorrect answers out of 10, if more than 3 were wrong, you get a chance to retake the test in 90 days and your application will be put on hold.

You get two chances to take the test, and if still not successful, you must reapply (another $400!).

Download the "guide to naturalization". The list of 96 possible questions is printed at the back of the guide. They questions they ask are from that list. They ask you 10 questions, and you need to get 6 right. I think it would be a hard test to fail.
