That\'s right. Today I couldn\'t believe what I heard on NSC\'s AVM.
"THIS CASE HAS BEEN APPROVED". My wife\'s 485 has also been approved.
Just today when I talked to an immigration officer in the morning, he confirmed that my case has been assigned to an officer today on 11th July.
I was therefore expecting the green card approval or RFE in a couple of weeks from this day but lucky me, our cases were approved same day they were assigned. The case details are as below.

I-485 RD : June26,00

1st FP : 1/30/01 Detroit - mine rejected due to poor quality
2nd FP : 2/27/01 approved by INS
485 AD : 7/11/01
No RFE despite no birth certificates for both me & my wife. Submitted just
2 affidavits for each of us.

thanks 5thyearNSC. I am sure my drive was not longest but you would
agree 40 month wait itself is long one if not longest. I wish NSC
may clear up the backlogged cases first before advancing 485 processing any further. One IIO told me once that the reason my application is not touched while some July00 RD being already processed was they are beginning to work on the backlogged cases.

Thank You for your valuable input. I have always subscribed to
the idea that backlogged cases should be cleared before mine is
processed. I know how much agonizing to see approvals of later
cases when someone\'s old case is still pending.

LongDrive2, did you apply for EAD renewal, did you receive the EAD approval, what is RD/ND for EAD renewal. I will appreciate you can write back.

yes PeechePeeche, I had applied for the EAD renewal which in fact got wasted due to 485 approval. But who cares when the 485 is approved.
Anyway my EAD renewal details are as below
EAD renewal RD - June14,01
EAD renewal ND - July2,01
Havent got renewal approval yet. Hope the information helps.
