Hiring an lawyer for Removal of Conditional Residency (2yr GC)

I had hired a lawyer when I applied for my initial GC but now I am considering doing the removal of conditions on my own.. It doesn't seem extremely difficult, just the I-751, filing fee $, evidences of bona fide marriage..... and probably few other things that I haven't looked into yet.

Anyways, my question was would you recommend filing on your own as a reasonable and capable person? Have any of you here done this and did you come across any problems or how smooth did it go? Or know anyone who has done this?
Also, how much can I expect to pay for lawyer fee? I know the filing fee itself is over $500 + biometric fee so that's a big amount for me on its own. I live in FL if that helps answer the question.

Thanks
