hiring a lawyer

i just wanted to know how many of you have hired a lawyer for the whole process. Do we really need one? I am here in U.S. but will go with CP in my country and it seems that the forms are very straightforward

We hired a lawyer, but I'm not sure it was really worth it. My husband and I were worried we would somehow create problems with the adjustment of status, but you're right, the forms are more or less straightforward (or as straightforward as anything can be with immigration!). There is great help available on this forum too!
 
There is no need to hire a lawyer.
You can get help on this forum;
You can e-mail KCC;
You can call KCC.
 
My husband and I hired one. I was ready to pay to get my peace of mind. But, the information I received from him is no different than what's here.

If your case is straightforward, you really do not need one.
Especially now that you've discovered the forum ! ( I didn't : if Ihad, I wouldn't probably have hired the lawyer ).
