Hi all,
My lawyer told me that for people from Pakistan, a Matriculation certificate notorized by the principal can be used in lieu of a birth certificate since it shows both the date of birth and the father's name.
You must have either Birth Certificate or an official letter from municipal authority that no records for the birth is found along with affivavit from both parent about your birth as well as one from a relative.
In my interview the specifically asked for birth certificate. Luckily I had mine and had no problem.
