I have a query regarding H1B stamping for residency in IM.
I am presently on H4 which will expire on June 20 2010.I have presently accepted a position for IM residency which is bound to start on June 21 2010.I wish to go to India for vacation before I start.
What is the best way I can simplify this?
2 options:
1)Get the visa.Go to India.Stamp H1B and land 10 days before the actual work starts.
2)Go to India for vacation.Return a month before residency.Do Premium processing of the visa.Get it stamped the next time I go to India.
One of my aquaintance has done the second one..which I feel may cause problem if I would leave to Canada or visit any other foreign country while in the USA on H1B.
Any input or suggestion is welcome.Thanks in advance.
