H1 Visa Stamping
I came to the US in January 2004 on a L1 Blanket visa. My L1 visa expired in October 2004 and my L1 company had applied for extension which I got sometime back. In the meantime I had also applied for an H1 visa with another company and I got my H1 visa approval in January End 2005(along with I-94).
I am still working on my L1 Visa as my work is supposed to be completed by March end. I am planning to go and visit India (April 2005) and come back after getting my H1 stamped from the US Consulate in Delhi.
I am not sure if there is any complication involved in my case or not. Is it OK if I go, visit India and come back. The reason of my concern is that I got my H1 approval in January 2005 but could not start my work with the H1 sponsor company immediately as my stay in the L1 project got extended. Will there be any concerns from the Consulate or INS in this case? Please let me know what all papers will I need to carry to the consulate for getting the Visa stamping.
