Hi guys:
which is the best city in Canada for computer professionals? I am a unix admin and i would like to know the city that has the most jobs in this area. Besides what resources can I use to find jobs in Canada. If some of you can talk about you experiences in finding a job (in the comp field) it would be really helpful. Thanks in advance

I will strongly recommend in \'n \'round Toronto, mos\' \'ef the IT jobs can be found here \'n as always stay close to the American dream brother you won\'t feel homesick then...anytime you feel like it you know it ain\'t no hassle to head to NY...to thy enigmatic streets \'ef Manhattan...personally don\'t mind givin\' up Java to fry \'n sell hot peanuts out ther\'...but if you ever come back to work in the states remember to be a responsible Canadian always, pay your taxes \'n when you do so do it with _Pride_ brother \'cause you know you\'re a Canadian first...American always!!!

Hi Anil:
Thanks for the reply. Since I live in Boston right now, Toronto would be great. I also heard that there are a lot of IT companies in and around Montreal. Is this true. I just wanted to make sure which is the best city for IT so that I can "land" in that city rather than moving around. Thanks much

Montréal is part\'ef Quebec province, you don\'t wanna get into French nation do you?...;) \'n if you\'re used to taking right turns on Red signals you\'re not allowed to do so in Quebec else you might get your first Canadian Citation! drivin\' will never be the same...If you\'re lookin\' for IT jobs Toronto is the way to go.

Hi anil.s,

In your posting above you have mentioned that "pay your taxes" properly when you work in US.. taxes to US? or Canada?.... can you please clarify..

Also for how long is a permanent residence provided for? i heard that when you hold a PR you have to be in canada for 180 days a year for your PR to be valid? is this correct? normally how many years after your receiving your PR do you apply for a citizenship? how easy is to get one? Can you please also provide some info regarding the TN visa? is it only for canadian citizens or for PRs also? in what way is it different than a h1b? etc.,

I know that the questions above are one too many... sorry about that :).. would be really glad if you could take the time to answer...Thanks a lot for the remarkable job you are doing on this thread....
