I filed my I-485, on april 4th & received my receipt on April 24th. I noticed that the receipt came with reversal of name(i.e., First name has become last name & last name has become first name). I realized only now that the attoroney\'s have made the mistake while filing the I-485 application itself.
How serious is this. Should I ask for correction. My files are in Consulate. Anyone has any idea how the files move?? Do they refer to the names or file nos.
I have not yet received my FP.
Any input is graeatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Someone asked a similar question just weeks ago. I don\'t
think it would cause any serious problem. It is the
approval, not receipt, notice that counts. If you want,
you can contact CSC (usually by fax) to correct the errors.

Ciba,

Do you know the fax number to contact CSC for making corrections?

I am under the impression that CSC fax is supposed to be used only for making inquiries(not for changes).

Thanks

I don\'t know the fax number for making corrections.
Your lawyer should have it. My company\'s lawyer
sent a fax to correct my name in I-140 (he is the
one that makes the stupid mistake!). We got a
new I-140 with the correct name within a week.
