I have couple of questions about DS-156 and DS-158.

1. DS-156 Section 15 --> Home Address
Should I write my address in India or USA?

2. DS-158 Section 4 --> Permanent Home Address and Telephone Number
Should I write my address in India or USA?

3. DS-158 Section 4 --> List at least two contacts in applicant's
country of residence who can verify information about applicant.
Should I list two contact persons who are in India or USA?

4. I have one more questions about supporting documents. I worked at two other companies before joining current employer. One of my previous employer is US Organization and second one is a Indian company. I have employment verification letter from my US employer but I misplaced employment verification letter from Indian employer. Do I need Indian employer’s Employment verification letter at the time of H1-B interview at US Vancouver Consulate? Indian employer is my first employer, then US company and then my current company. This is my first time H1-B stamping.

I am in USA since 1999. I was on F-1 visa before getting H-1B.

I would appreciate any input/help. Thank you very much for your time.

questions

Hi,

I am planning to land through Detroit by car and come back the same day. I don't have a visa stamp on my passport, does the 30 days re-entry rule still apply? Do you HAVE TO go to Toronto to get my visa stamped? I entered US several years ago on F1, and later changed to H1. I have the INS approval notice, but no visa stamps on my passport.

Need reply ASAP. Urgent!

Thanks a lot.

30 days rule is still valid as long as you do not come in any of the exceptions

1) applying for visa
2) citizen of terrorism sponsoring countries

parents are US permanent residents

I have one more question about section #37 omn DS-156.
"Are Any of The Following Persons in The U.S., or Do They Have U.S. Legal Permanent Residence or U.S. Citizenship?"

My both parents are US permanent residents. Do I am gogin to have any issue because of this fact.

Thanks

Hi Bhand,

I want to get the visa stamping also for me and for my wife in canada?

Should I get two appointments (one for my wife and one for me needed) or one appointment enough for both in www.nvars.com ?

Please advice, I got two different answers, so little bit confusing.

Thanks
Arun
