Hi,

I am very new to this forum, this being my first post.

I have a job offer from a US company for the position of chief-technical-officer, which is permanent and full time position. I have a high-school degree, followed by 8 years of work experience in similar position in various large isp's and related companies, all documented with letter of employment and outlining the job performed.

Would I be eligible for eb1 or eb2 employment-based-gc visa?
What is the process like and how long does it take (average).

Thank You all for being helpful.

My understanding is that EB-1 and EB-2 require either a graduate degree (Masters/Ph.D) or bachelors followed by 5 years of progressive experience. Since your highest education level is HS, despite your experience, you would be unable to qualify. If your company would be willing to sponsor you you may be able to get labor condition for EB-3. The dowside of this category is the current retrogression situation. What visa are you currently on?
