she worked in a store while she was a student. We declared this in her 485 letter cause our lawyer advised that way. INS issued RFE asking about the exact start and end dates for her illegal work.
She worked for 8 months and we paid the taxes.
we are pretty hopeless about her case, and do not know what to submit as an evidence.

May be on a letter you can put the dates as they have asked for. Also try to write something that she was going through an economical hardship while studying and she needed to get some money. Try to get some letters from her parents back home supporting the situation. INS may consider the situation and ask you to pay some fine. Read the message by Detroit_Waiter. He commented on this issue just today. I am sure everything will work out for you buddy. Don\'t worry. GOD is always with us. MAY GOD bless you and your wife.
