I've checked this morning the www.shusterman.com site and i found out that yesterday the Senate pass an Immigration Bill , before midnight , with good signs on it !!! Check and let me know what you think about this ????

I was reading something about it, but this is only for "illegal immigrants". or maybe I'm wrong
 
Senate did not pass it - the judiciary committe passed it and recommended for introduction to the senate. It is up to Majority leader Bill Frist to decide which of the many versions (including his own) should come to the senate floor. There is a long way to go!

Not too optimistic!!

Late last year, they had tried to pass a similar legislation. The bill passed barely in Senate, but was completely shot down in the House of Rep, which had pushed for an "enforcement only" bill, without any repreive even to legal immigrant workers, who have been caught in retrogression due to no fault of theirs.

So, I am not too optimistic about the prospects this time around specially in the House of Representatives.

Does naybody know if the increase in 485 numbers even made it in this bill? Everybody is talking about doing something for the illegal immigrants. I do not have anything against them, but shouldn't there be a consideration for legal immigrants who have been working hard, obeying all laws and paying half their income in taxes and social security!!!
 
The illegal immigrants may get a chance of the AOS after register and work for 6 years. How about your legal immigrants? Do you all get your GC within 6 years after entry into the USA with the visa?
