Dear all,
I miss you all. I wish you all well. I have been away from this forum for quite a long time and hope that you are all doing well. I am very excited to read that many of you already got your green cards and that others had their asylum approved. I wish those who are waiting to finally get what they wish for, but remember that I waited 11 years to get my green card. Once you get what you want, it won't be important any more so do not lose sleep over it. Just hope for the best and live your life the best you can. Life is too short. Don’t let your anxiety kill the best moments of your life. I posted hundreds of threads explaining my yearning to get my green card and my frustration with the process. I waited so long for it but once I got it, my happiness about it disappeared within few days. The problem is that we get so consumed by what we wish for and when we get it, it loses its importance. I think my long journey gave meaning for my life because there was always a struggle to have and a battle to fight for. This struggle filled my emptiness but it had a toll on me since it deprived me from living a spontaneous life and magnified my bitterness towards those immigrant-hating Americans who wish to close this country’s borders. In short, I want you to take a deep breath and relax. Live your life to its fullest because every moment spent on bitterness or anxiety deprives you from the real joy of life. Getting a green card is not the joy of life; living your life to its fullest without pain or anxiety is!

Well said

Well said.
Although your words make me enjoy this very moment, I'm sure I'll be back to who I am just in a couple of hours.
I'll try to remember your words as frequently as possible
:)
