Hi guys,

I need an advice badly......
....after working for a company for almost 4 years, a week ago my immediate supervisor set me up and fired me for NOT MOPPING the floor the night before.
Ever since I learned how to run the department and started applying for promotions he HATED me (apparentlly he never really liked me probably because i hold a master's degree from my country and he doesn't even have a high school diploma)
So he started looking for a way to get rid of me and finally did it last week......
A friend of mine adviced me to file a discrimination charge with the Equal Oppotunity Employment Commision against the company...

On one hand I am willing to let it go and forget about this hell hole, but on the other hand I am so angry, because I just cannot believe what they did to me after putting all those long hours of HARD work and passion about my job.
Please understand me .... IT IS JUST NOT FAIR. It hurts, really bad.
I hope nobody here ever have to experience this.. it is teribble.

I am w/ a 485(asylum) pending......do you think that If I file a charge agaist the company, this may reduce my chances of getting approved in the future.

P.S. The reason for me to stay there and do that kind of work is because my reading and writing skills are still not that great...I write here with the help of my son.

Please I need an honest advice.

I do not know what to do.

Thank you in advance.

First you are not the only one, cases like this happen all the time. If you file against them, it will take months, and hard to prove anything, also depends if you have any written proves to support your case, finally you don't want to work there anyway. My advice move on with your life. And if you file, will not impact on your cases in any manner. Good-Luck.

Sue......

You can sue for wrongful termination. Contact a lawyer, and if he/he thinks you have a case, they normally do not charge you until you settle. This should have no effect on your INS application whatsoever, it's a different issue.

Good luck!

I am not a lawyer nor claim to be one.

I did contact a lawyer, and he adviced me to get EEOC involved first, and if they find reason for a wrongful termination then I can proceed forward.

Thanks bringslite,
