Help with situation- Immigrating through grandmother

Hello, Wanted some advice on this situation:

I am an unmarried adult.

My grandmother is a U.S. Citizen.

My mother is NOT a U.S. Citizen.

my mother has a job and everything in our country so she does not want to immigrate to the United States, but I do.

I did a bit of research and I understand grandchild cannot be brought directly, but how would this work if first my grandmother files an I-130 (right?) for my mother, then my mother becomes a lawful permanent citizen and file that form for me?

How long would the process take? And how much of that time will my mother have to actually stay in the United States? (As i said she is settled so she would want to stay here as little as possible)

Thanks for any advice!

I don't know how long it will take but from the top of my head I'll say "forever".

For your mother, a married adult, to immigrate ( even though she's the daughter of an US citizen) will take good years.

After that, she will have to stay here 5 years to apply for Citizenship. If she's lucky in 6-12 months after she applies she's an American Citizen.

If she applies for you as a Green Card holder it will take many years until your visa become available.

After that she'll apply for your I-130, lets say maybe another year or two.

All togheter, my best estimate...somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-12 years, maybe more, for you to set foot in America thru this channel.

Think about another way. ;)
