Help with family relationship proof

Dear friends,

1. My mother does not have any document stating my grand father's name. All the documents she has have my dad's name and address. We could not find anything! My mom has mailed me an affadavit stating that she is the daughter of XXXX person. She also sent me a certificate from the Metropolitan Corporation stating that "there is no birth entry of XXXX and she is the daughter of XXXX person". The certificate mentions her date and place of birth. Does CHC in buffalo accept these kind of documents?? if not, can somebody recommend what else to provide?

2. The 2 certificates/affadavits from my mother and a copy of my uncle's passport have slight variation of my grand father's middle name. There are 3 different versions of my grand father's middle name. Any idea how to fix this or it doesn't matter much?

Well my mother's birth certificate or any other document for that matter (before she got married) should have my grand father's name. My uncle doesn't have his BC either but on his passport he has my grand father's name. If my mother would have my grand father's name on any of the documents, I could establish the relationship between my mother and my uncle.
 
You are so vague.. Why do you need to establish your mother's relation to your grandfather or uncle? How does she or your uncle come in the picture if you are the one applying for PR? Am I missing something here?
