help with birth cerificate

hey all. i just called my mom in my home country to have her send me my birth certificate and apparently its missing. so can she and my uncle have affidavits made confirming my date of birth and faxed to me? will uscis accept these in place of the original birth certificate? thx.

Can't you get a duplicate of your birth certificate?
If you can't, then you would need a non-availability certificate from the government agency that issues birth certificates, and 2 original (not faxed) affidavits.
