Help with 245K

Hello

One of my friend is filing 485 thro Section 245k. He is out of status for the last 35 days. Does any one filed 485 under this same section, if so please let me know if he has to inform his out of status in the cover letter. please post if any one have a cover letter.

As for as I know he need not do any thing. The officer will take care that. In case RFE comes you may need to mention that under 245(K) you are eligible adjust the status.
