Help with 2 Questions pls? (I864 and other)

Hi,
My husband was the lucky winner of the 2008 DV lottery. We are already in the US and will gor for the adjustment of status (I485) here. I have the following questions, if someone can help please?

1. Is the form I-864 needed? We have received conflicting opinions.
2. Will our I485 applications be considered separately and independently? Or, will mine be dependent on my husband's? Will mine be pending until his is approved since he is the one who won the lottery and I apply for AOS as his dependent not as principal winner of the lottery?

No, the 864 is not necessary for DV winners, if you have a sponsor you will use the I-134.

Re consideration of your applications - yours will indeed be pending until he is approved; derivatives cannot be approved before principals are. As such, your applications are inevitably considered together. Is this what you are asking?
