Help! Will this be a problem on my immigration?

Hi there,

I need some enlightenment on this dilemma. I order my prescription drugs from another country (Canada). And I received a letter from US Dept of Homeland Security (US Customs and Border Patrol) that they have interdicted my package. They have possession of my prescription drug. Do you think that this will be a hindrance on my ongoing Immigration application?

I don't remember in the application anything about Prescription Medicine. I just hope that it won't cause delay on my Immigration, that's my main concern.

Thanks,
Dinx

Hi there!

Well, reimportantion of prescription drugs is illegal, but I doubt they will give you a hard time about it. It might delay your IBIS check a little bit once you file for citizenship, as they might have created a record. Again, I am not an expert on this, but I doubt that you will face any consequences.

Cheers!

That's what I was afraid of. I filed my citizenship on June and haven't received my Interview letter. And wondering if this can be the reason why I haven't received any letter yet.

It just happened this week. Thanks for the input! Greatly appreciated.
