I’m on 485 pending through employment. I sent my 485 in April, 2002. I got married in February, 2002, at that time I asked my lawyer, he said I would get my GC within a year by employment, so I decided to go for the 485 through employment. I have done my finger print in June, 2002. Now it seems the 485 processing through my employment is so slow, I have no idea when I’m going to get it.
I’m thinking to get it through marriage if it’s faster, but a couple of questions:
1. Is it faster to get GC through marriage, or should I keep waiting my 485 through employment?
2. If I apply GC through marriage, is it going to affect my pending 485 through employment? Will it help my pending 485 approved sooner?
3. If I apply GC through marriage, do I still need to file I130/485/765 … Currently I have EAC through employment.
