HELP ! What does this message mean ?

Hello folks,
When checking the status of my I-485 today (7/20/02) via the
automated system, the following message was received:

"A WRITTEN DECISION HAS BEEN MAILED TO YOU ON
1 JUNE 2002. IF 14 DAYS HAVE PASSED AND YOU HAVE
NOT RECEIVED IT CONTACT AN IIO FOR CHANGE OF ADDRESS"

My FP was done in Jan 2002.

I have not received the mail, possibly because of the change
in address that I gave in the last week on Mar 2002.

My question is - What does the word DECISION mean in
the above message ?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance and wish

Regarding "a written decision"

OHLad,

According to my attorney, "a written decision" typically means either a RFE (Request for Evidence) or a Denial Notice. Please contact your attorney and IIO ASAP. I wish you good luck.

I am confused

Thanks for the information.
My concern is that my I-485 was filed in Oct 2001. I do not
understand how my case was looked into so early.
