Help- Very Urgent!!!!!!!!!

My parents have an appointment next week and we just noticed that the birth date on my mother's DS 156 was printed wrong.

I have confirmed that this part of DS 156 cannot be electronically modified on the vfs website as it allows changes only after question 14. So the options are either to cancel this appointment and take a fresh one or make a mannual change by hand or by using a correction fluid on DS156.

My question is will making a mannual change create a problem because the actual visa has the birth date printed on it and I do not know if the consular office will have the authority to enter a change made by hand into the computer system.

Any answers will be sincerely appreciated.

actually mu suggestion is that let them carry an original(erroneous copy) and a corrected one with them.
Explain to the officer and let them decide.

And dont panic, these things happen

You can fill another copy of DS-156 manually and your mother can take it with her?

That shouldn't be a problem...post the same issue on path2usa website..you will get better suggestions

Would you please post what the outcome was? I am in a similar situation and need urgent help.
Thanks!

My mom was granted the visa. She got the correction done at one of the windows before she met the VO. I had even spoken to the USA helpline number and was reassured that I wont be a problem and the visa officer can correct it right there.
