Help! Using AP for travel.

I-485 RD August 99. Waiting for PD to become current. I am planning to go to India in December and return in January using AP. My wife is using EAD to work. What documents do I need to carry with me?. What kind of questions should I expect at port of entry?. Do I have to specify something different in I-94 form on entry?.

I am doing the same. I asked this question on this board and according others, carry your AP, EAD, letter of employment and your business card, if you have one. Even carrying your I485 reciept notices won\'t hurt.
