I have been waiting for so long, now the wait is unbearable. I need some advice. Here are the details:
Labor:
Country of origin: Turkey
EB-2
Priority Date: March 26, 2001
I-140 (EAC-03-145-5****):
Receipt Date: April 7, 2003
Notice Date: April 11, 2003
Approval Date: May 9, 2003
I-485s (Both my wife's and my case, EAC-03-145-5*****):
Receipt Date: April 7, 2003
Notice Date: April 11, 2003
First Fingerprint : June 7, 2003
Second Fingerprint: October 7, 2004
I made my first inquiry on January 3, 2005, received the following response on January 7, 2005: "Our computer systems show that your petition/application still pending Service consideration"
I made a second inquiry on March 25, 2005, and received the following response on April 2, 2005: "Your case is at the routine background security check"
Both my wife's and my case are in the security check since then. I contacted the Congressman's office and gave all the dates and details, all they could do was to make an inquiry and receive the same "background security check" crap. I contacted the USCIS Ombudsman Office, same result. They advised me to wait.
I really need some advice as to what can be done at this point other than waiting.
I will be looking forward to your suggestions.
Thanks,
Yilmaz
