help:submit I-485

I got immigrant petition approval notice based on
EB1(a) several months ago. I filed I-485 in Boston
local office, and it was then forwared to Chicago
National Center. I recevied the first notice last
month: my application was rejected. The reason is that
I did not attach evidence to show my immigrant
petition was approved, but I did attach the copy of my
EB1(a) aprroval notice. All of my application material
was returned to me, and I was asked to resubmit with
the evidence to their Chicago office.

I then resubmitted my application with 3 copies of my
EB1(a) approal notice and all returned material to the
office. But it was rejected again and all material was
returned to me. A M-180 form is attached. It is said
"This office does not have jurisdiction to accept the
application/petition you submitted. Please resubmit
your application/petition to the USCIS office with
jurisdiction. B# and T#."

Now I am wondering where to submit and how to submit. Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you.
 
CIS local offices do not accept employment-based applications. You need to submit your applicaitons to a CIS national center. If you are in Chicago area, then it is Nebrask Cener. Read the I-485 instructions carefully.

Thank you. I am in Boston. According to the new policy in Boston local immigration office. I need to first submit i-485 to the local Boston office, and then it was forwarded to Chicago National Center, not Chicago local Immigration office. Now I do not know where to submit and how to submit.

I just read where to file in i-485, it is said "File this application in INS office having jurisdiction over your place of residence. Anyway, your suggestion is very important. I need to check out in the Boston local immigration office tomorrow.

Many Thanks. I just read again about the new policy in USCIS. Could you take a look at the following paragraph which I copied from USCIS webpage:

For those applicants wishing to submit applications for adjustment of status (I-485) to the Boston office, please note effective February 13, 2004, the Boston district will no longer process I-130/I-485 applications or any application submitted in conjunction with an I-485. This includes I-765 employment applications and I-131 travel permission applications. We will accept the applications by mail or in person, with fees attached and forward them daily to the National Benefit Center in Chicago, Illinois for processing. You will receive a filing receipt from that office within 21 days. All employment documents and travel documents will be mailed directly to you from the National Benefit Center. Residency interviews will still be conducted locally once the case is transferred back to Boston. Any employment or parole applications for cases currently pending here in Boston must also be sent by us to Chicago.

This is not a new policy. Family based I-485 applications are submitted at local district offices(Boston in your case) All the employment based category are file at Service centers( Vermont in your case).

File your case at vermont service center.

If i was in your position i would have taken the service of good attorney (Be carefull while choosing attorney I would suggest Rajeev Khanna)
