For all Gurus :o ,

I and my wife recieved RFE on EAD and we replied to the RFE in end of May. But still our EAD has not been approved.
Does anybody know how long it is going to take and can I get a interim EAD in meantime?
Any information is appreciated.

Yes

Yes, you could be eligible for I-EAD as you replied back RFE late May. I beleive if it is more than 90 days, then defn. you are eligible but if less, I would suggest u try yr luck anyways. I have seen couple of guys trying their lucks and getting through it.

All the best. If RFE is simple like photos, then u should defn. go tomorrow. U never know when u hit the right guy.

call VSC on EAD

dogra7,

Thanks for replying.

My RFE was regarding not sending PassPort copies. I will try to get i-EAD.

But do you think I should call the 1-800 number of VSC and enquire about the status of the case as it has passed 90 days?

I've rarely seen the 800 Cust Svc person knowing anything more than what you see online.
They'll mostly read it out for you -- its a waste of your time (on hold for 30+ mins).

If it'll make you happy, you can of course try that - just don't have any expectations though.

U should

gc_forever,

you should defn. open an inquiry as if they don't reach decision on RFE for 60 days in most of the cases, u become eligible for the same. If you hit some cust service repres. who doesn't want to do it because he / she is getting late (happened with me once), then call again and try with another representative.

Also if you have a lawyer, they should also send fax to VSC requesting the same.

In the meantime, I would defn. encourage you to go through infopass (if eligible) and try yr luck in the local office.

Thanks a lot "dogra7" and "max2k1"

dogra7 and max2k1,

Thanks a lot. I will ask my lawyers to fax them as it is getting close to 90 days and no descision is made.
