Help rescheduling Biometrics... is this possible?

Hi,

I applied for naturalization and haven't yet received my biometric appointment... My application was received on Nov. 12th and I have a receipt dated the 16th.

This is I need to leave the country for a month or a little more (it's not something I can change).. this will not have any negative effect aside from not being here when my appointment will occur.

I spoke to a lawyer who said I Should just go to the biometrics office tomorrow with just my original receipt and see if they will let me in. I'm hoping perhaps it will come tomorrow so atleast I can show them the notice...

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this, or if you think they may allow me to go early?

Any ideas where I can look up the Pittsburgh biometrics office and see what time they open?

Any help or tips greatly appreciated... Thanks

Your FP letter nowadays says you can do it on a later day (usually wednesday) within a few weeks after the appointment.

Going early is possible, but you need the letter.

If your receipt is dated Nov 16, plus give them some off time for Thanksgiving, I would say you should be getting the notice soon, but as of now it is not in a situation where it would be considered late.

Watch your mail (a friend can do it), if it gives you walk-in facility after the nominated FP date, use that rather than trying to reschedule.
 
Any idea where I can find the contact details and times of operation for the biometric office in Pittsburgh? what would it be called?
